A covered loggia lounge for a Palm Jumeirah beachfront villa, designed to blur the line between indoor comfort and sea-facing openness. Deep, weather-smart seating sits on warm natural stone beneath a clean architectural soffit, with framed views of the water doing the decorating.
The Challenge
The space is exposed to sun, salt, and humidity, yet had to feel every bit as considered and comfortable as the interiors it opens onto — durable without looking utilitarian.
The Solution
We used hard-wearing natural stone underfoot, specified performance fabrics and powder-coated frames that shrug off the coastal climate, and kept the palette and detailing restrained so the architecture and the sea view lead. Discreet ambient lighting extends the lounge into the evening.
