A handleless family kitchen in warm cream lacquer and natural timber, built around a generous stone island that doubles as prep space and a social hub. Full-height cabinetry conceals a bank of integrated appliances and a walk-in pantry, while a picture window over the sink floods the room with daylight. The result is a hard-working kitchen that still reads as calm, minimal, and beautifully resolved.
The Challenge
The clients wanted a serene, almost furniture-like kitchen — but with the storage, appliance count, and durability a busy family demands. Nothing could look like a "kitchen showroom", yet everything had to be within easy reach.
The Solution
Floor-to-ceiling joinery hides everything but the essentials behind a seamless run of doors, and a large island keeps prep, cooking, and gathering in a single flow. We specified fingerprint-resistant finishes, a durable stone worktop, and layered task and ambient lighting so the space performs as hard as it looks calm.
