A formal dining room built for entertaining, centred on a bespoke stone-topped table and a set of sculpted upholstered chairs over a layered silk rug. A pair of ring chandeliers float above a coffered feature ceiling, and mirrored joinery lines the walls to double the light and the sense of occasion.
The Challenge
The room had to feel grand and event-ready for hosting, yet remain warm and comfortable enough for everyday family meals — a difficult balance of drama and ease.
The Solution
We framed the table with floor-to-ceiling mirrored and timber joinery and wrapped the ceiling in a warm cove-lit coffer. Dimmable, layered lighting lets the room shift from bright and relaxed by day to intimate and theatrical at night, so a single space serves both moods effortlessly.
